Poll: Now that the Ofcom complaints have been added up, where do you stand on the Gemma Collins drama?
ITV ITV
WHETHER OR NOT you’re a fan of this year’s series of Dancing on Ice, it’s likely that you heard about the drama that took place on Sunday night, when Gemma Collins finally snapped.
If not, here’s all of the background you need. In light of everything that happened on Sunday night’s show, there have been more than 80 complaints made to British broadcasting watchdog Ofcom. At least 50 viewers at home were so offended by Gemma’s “outburst” that they decided to lodge an official complaint.
At the same time, there were 33 people who passionately believed that the judges had mistreated Gemma and were unnecessarily harsh in their comments and behaviour towards her.
In fact, prior to Gemma and Jason’s spat, many viewers at home have taken to Twitter to express their annoyance over the amount of times that judges and other commentators have told Gemma that she’ll never do any “big lifts”. It was Jason Gardiner’s comment about lifts that set Gemma off, and caused her to respond so aggressively.
If people feel strongly enough about this to lodge complaints, we want to know how you feel. Who was in the wrong?
